Sigma Resources was founded in 1998 around the principle of applying technology to solve business problems. Our background was a mix of both business and technology; our teams fundamentally came from information systems and computer science backgrounds, and, through our consulting experiences, had gained insights in business innovation and growth-orientation.
Our focus was to combine a deep understanding of technology, and to be technologists at the core of the business. From this basis, we would endeavor to understand fully a business problem, and seek ways to solve the problem in new ways through the use of technology, whether it be to create a new approach, enable certain efficiencies, or fully automate a solution. And, in those pursuits, to attract, reward, grow, and retain talented individuals of like mind.
These traits define our culture today, to which you will find Sigma team members exploring new technologies, working with our clients to apply them in new and creating ways, and seeking new additions to our teams.
Sandeepa (Sandy) Kaleida, CEO
Sandy Kaleida founded Sigma Resources in 1998, and as CEO, has grown the company into a full-service information technology provider with offices in the United States and in India. At Sigma, Ms. Kaleida is responsible for operations, finance, and talent development – and establishing mutually beneficial, long-lasting partnerships with our clients. Prior to starting Sigma, Ms. Kaleida worked as a management consultant with Deloitte Consulting in their Public Sector practice. Ms. Kaleida has a Masters of Education – Mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh, and a BS in Management Information Systems from Slippery Rock University.
Julie Linnelli, Director of Human Resources & Operations
Ms. Julie Linnelli is responsible for managing the Human Resources function of the company focusing on employee value proposition and development, employee relations and retention, compensation and benefits, corporate office recruiting, immigration, employment law and compliance. Her prior experience to Sigma Resources involved progressively complex Human Resources positions in the healthcare, education, and construction industries. Ms. Linnelli holds a Master’s of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from South University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Human Resources Management. She holds two national HR certifications- the Senior Human Resources Professional (SPHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute and the Senior Certified Professional (SCP) certification from the Society for Human Resources Management.
Jeffrey Briel, Senior Director of Sales
Mr. Briel is the Senior Director of Sales charged with growing our Technology Services and Solutions market share, and well as our marketing and community outreach initiatives, in the Harrisburg area. Mr. Briel has over 35 years of experience in the IT consulting industry. Prior to joining Sigma, Mr. Briel has held executive sales positions, with a proven track record of success and revenue production. Mr. Briel has an Associates Degree in Computer Science from Harrisburg Area Community College, and a B.S. Degree in Math and Computer Science from Lock Haven University.
Arijith Roy, Vice President of Consulting
Mr. Roy is the Vice President of Consulting and serves as oversight of Sigma’s project delivery, as well as is responsible for developing new product, and Sigma’s R&D initiatives. Mr. Roy has over 20 years experience in the IT industry. His depth of technical background, as well as subject matter expertise in several industries, allows him to design, create, and craft the technical vision for Sigma. Mr. Roy holds Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from the S.R.M. College of Engineering, and an MBA from the Carnegie Mellon University, Tepper School of Business.
Dave Scherrer, Director of Technical Services
Mr. Scherrer is the Director of Technical Services and is charged with the delivery of security, operations, and infrastructure services for both Sigma, as well as our clients. Mr. Scherrer has over 20 years experience in the IT industry. He has been responsible for delivering data center hosting, IT procurement, cyber security, IT risk and compliance, and support for high-availability systems.
